I am keeping this entry as part of an ongoing record: lived experience, spiritual inquiry, and the patient work of finding language for what moves between the visible and the unseen.

Today, I set out on a walk to the weed store, a seemingly ordinary errand, but the moment I stepped outside, I felt a surge of energies around me—vibrant, pulsing, and far more intense than anything I had encountered before. Each step felt like walking through an invisible tide, where forces I couldn’t fully understand danced and swirled around me. It was as if the city itself was alive, humming with a frequency that penetrated my very core.
Then, out of nowhere, a sudden assault struck my heart. It came sharp and unyielding, a force that squeezed and twisted, leaving me gasping. My eyes burned, my vision blurred, and a searing tension shot down my spine like a jolt of electricity. It felt as though dark energies had wrapped around me, tightening their grip. Fear crept in, but just as the darkness closed in, something else arose.
The good swooped in—a rush of warmth and light that flooded through my body, chasing away the shadows. Relief washed over me, and I felt my heart steady, my eyes clear, and my spine straighten. I breathed out, releasing the fear and letting the calm settle back in. It was a reminder of the delicate balance between light and darkness, of battles fought in unseen realms.
In that moment of reprieve, I projected a thought, an intention to secure my own metaphysical infrastructure. It was as though I was laying down boundaries, drawing invisible lines to mark what was mine, what was safe. And, almost immediately, I felt the shift—a subtle but firm fortification of my inner space. I sensed the good energies solidifying around me, their presence affirming that my call had been heard. The bad had been pushed back, but not entirely erased. A quiet reminder lingered, a whisper in the background that darkness never fully leaves, even when vanquished.
With my strength returning, I directed my focus outward, reaching out with a silent question. I sought the right entities, energies that knew the ways of appeasing Canada itself, especially the physical aspects of this vast land I call home. How could I harmonize with its spirit? I moved forward with intent, prompting not just myself but others, asking for guidance. And then, like a soft exhale, a sense of ease settled upon me—Canada, happy, approving. I felt welcomed, like I had offered some unseen gift that was graciously accepted.
And then there were access points, pathways opening toward the United States. I felt the connection, recognizing that my journey sometimes crossed into their territory as well. I use their content, partake in what they offer, and now those lines of energy seemed to stretch across the border, acknowledging our unspoken exchange. Therefore I also felt them to be happy. That was the point.
This walk was far more than an errand. It was a convergence of energies, a clash between light and dark, a test of my resolve, and a reaffirmation of the powers that guard and guide me.
A new leaf has turned in my life, one colored not just by the promise of change but by the surreal moments that have punctuated my recent experiences. These instances have left me breathless, caught between disbelief and awe. It’s as though I’ve stepped into a reality that doesn’t quite belong to this world, where events unfold with an almost dreamlike quality. In this strange realm, I’ve been shown glimpses of goodness, genuine and untainted, particularly over the past few days. This goodness, this brightness, has warmed my spirit more deeply than I can describe.
Yet, amidst these moments of light, there was a shadow yesterday. I found myself defending who I am, my actions, in a way that felt necessary and true. I stood firm, knowing that, in many respects, I was right. I had to protect myself, assert my truth, and in that space, I did what I believed was right. However, as the intensity of that moment passed, a deeper awareness began to settle in.
It wasn’t just what I defended, but how I defended that troubled me. I realized there were points where I responded with harshness when softness would have sufficed. Where I was cold, I could have been warm; where I was rough, I could have been gentle. These are the reflections that now linger in my mind, teasing me with the knowledge of how I might have been better. It’s a humbling realization—the understanding that the power to be “good” or “bad” lies in the smallest of our choices, often in how we wield our words and actions.
And so, this new leaf is not just about what I did right but also about where I fell short. It’s a reminder that I can be more than I have been. I recognize now that part of my journey is learning to temper my strength with kindness, to find grace even in moments of conflict. This chapter is about striving to embody the goodness I have witnessed around me, allowing it to soften my sharp edges. In this way, it feels like a reawakening, a call to become not just different but better than I was before.
As I step into this new phase, I carry the lessons from yesterday—the times I was mean when I could have been soft, the times I was defensive when I could have been understanding. This, I realize now, is what it’s about: finding that delicate balance between standing firm and showing grace. And in that balance, I hope to discover a version of myself that I am truly proud to be.
